The Effects of Plasma-Activated Water on Heavy Metals Accumulation in Water Spinach

چکیده
Toxic heavy metals accumulate in crops from the environment through different routes and may interfere with biochemical reactions humans, causing serious health consequences. Plasma technology has been assessed for promotion of seed germination plant growth several past studies. Therefore, aim present study was to evaluate whether rate plants can be increased application non-thermal plasma, as well reduce accumulation leafy vegetables (water spinach). In this study, kinds plasma treatments were applied, such treatment on seeds (PTS + NTW), irrigation water (NTS PAW) or both PAW). The results showed that accumulated spinach affected by available soil. bioconcentration factor (BCF) Cd decreased 0.864 0.543 after irrigating water, while BCF Pb low did not show any significant changes. suggest suppress absorption, but Pb. help improve product yield planted Cd-added future, fertilizers used supply nutrients are provided plasma-activated support spinach.

Accumulation of heavy metals in water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) cultivated in the Bangkok region, Thailand.
The aquatic plant water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica), either wild or cultivated, is found throughout Southeast Asia and is a widely consumed vegetable in the region. Many of the waters where I. aquatica grows serve as recipients for domestic and other types of wastewater. Because these waters contain not only nutrients, but often also a wide variety of pollutants such as heavy metals from various...

Background: Some metals play an important role in biological reactions and metabolism of human body. Low and high concentrations of these elements can cause diseases and poisoning. This study was carried out in order to investigate the concentration of metals in inlet and outlet water of households in Ahvaz city, Iran in 2018. Materials and Methods: This was a cross-sectional descriptive stud...

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
Heavy metals phyto-assessment in commonly grown vegetables: water spinach (I. aquatica) and okra (A. esculentus)
The growth response, metal tolerance and phytoaccumulation properties of water spinach (Ipomoea aquatica) and okra (Abelmoschus esculentus) were assessed under different contaminated spiked metals: control, 50 mg Pb/kg soil, 50 mg Zn/kg soil and 50 mg Cu/kg soil. The availability of Pb, Zn and Cu metals in both soil and plants were detected using flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The concen...
